You can migrate your DB to Zeroboard XE from other BBSs or older versions of Zeroboard. Zeroboard XE uses simple XML to support migration.

Currently migration from Zeroboard XE, Zeroboard 4, Zeroboard 5 beta, TT(Textcube, Tistory, Tatter Tools), and Gnuboard is supported.

If you need migration from the other tools, please let us know. 

To use migration, you should install Zeroboard XE > version beta 0.2.8.

Sequence of Migration

Migration consists of following 4 components.

1. Migration of member information

   1. It includes basic information, image name, and image marks of members.

2. Migration of documents

   1. It makes one board into one XML
   2. Since comments, trackbacks and attached files are contained in one XML file, it's easy to keep and to migrate.

3. Migration of messages.

   1. You should migrate member information before migration of messages,  to find the owners of messages

4. Synchronize documents to their owners.

   1. After migration of member information, and documents, you should do synchronization to set the owner of documents to the member ids.
   2. Unless, documents has no owner.
