03. Modules

Basically, all functions of Zeroboard XE are processed by modules.

Modules are classified as below.

1. Service Module

   This category includes modules which users (visitors) can directly use, such as boards.
   Board module uses features from document / comments / trackbacks / files modules.

   There might be stand-alone modules.

2. Managing Module
   Managing modules is used to maintain sites.
   It includes addon, widget, menu and layout modules.

   • Addon : Addons provide many additional functions to the site and it also can provide different actions for some situations.
   • Widget : Widgets provide various components such as login form, newest comments or newest articles.
   • Layout : Layouts provide external design and make users admin their sites more easily.
   • Menu : Menus provide easy administration with layout.

3. Utility Module
   Utility modules provides various features to the other modules.

   • Attachments : Attachments provide upload functions and manage uploaded files.
   • Trackback
   • Wysiwyg Editor
   • Comments
   • Document

4. Additional Module
   Additional Modules are not essential, but it enables web sites to flourish.

   • Basic Counter : It provides statistics of visitors of your web sites.
   • Data Importer :
   • Spam Filter : It filters spams on postings/ comments/ trackbacks by IP blocking, word blacklisting and so on.
   • Poll : It maintains data of Poll editor component.
   • Referer Statistics : It provides statistics of referer of visitors, showing the route to your web sites.
   • Point System : It provides system that you can give incentive points to members based on their activity.

5. Default Module
   Default Modules are the core modules of Zeroboard XE.

   • Display Errors : It displays errors occurred while processing Zeroboard XE.
   • Module : It gives information of installed modules, and you can upgrade/ update modules with this module.
